Lakeshore Drive has elevated PFAS levels because unlike the other town wells, the water is not mixed with that of other wells. This also means the well cannot simply be shut off as others have. The town of Duxbury has not yet taken any steps to notify Lakeshore Drive residents that their water contains PFAS levels that exceed EPA Maximum Contaminant levels.
